Seven bedrooms and four baths in a renovated stone house in Monroe, with a private backyard and a covered porch that looks out at the lake through the trees. Sleeps twelve: five king rooms, a queen, and a bunk room with two single bunk beds. Gather in the great room around the wood-burning fireplace, cook in the full kitchen, and eat together at tables that seat the group. Kids get a playroom and a playset. Adults get a gym, a massage chair and a fire pit. Dogs under 45 pounds are welcome.
A renovated historic stone house of over 4,300 square feet, laid out so twelve people can be together or apart.
SLEEPING. Seven bedrooms: five with a king bed, one with a queen, and a bunk room with two single bunk beds for the children. Three of the king rooms have their own bathroom, and there are four full bathrooms in all.
LIVING AND COOKING. The great room is the centre of the house: a wood-burning stone fireplace, beamed ceilings, and enough seating for the whole group. Tables seat the group together for dinner. The kitchen is fully equipped, with an oven and stove, dishwasher, freezer, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, cooking basics, dishes and wine glasses. A separate coffee bar keeps the early risers out of the kitchen.
OUTSIDE. The covered porch looks out over the lake through the trees, with egg chairs, zero-gravity loungers and an outdoor dining table. The private backyard holds a gas grill, a fire pit and a wooden playset. There is a balcony upstairs and a deck off the porch.
FOR THE DAY. A children's playroom with books, toys and floor mats. A gym with a workout bench. A massage chair that guests write about. A sunroom with a private desk and wifi for anyone who has to work. A washer and dryer, split-system heating and air conditioning, and free parking in the driveway.
AROUND YOU. Monroe sits between two lakes, with hiking trails and beaches nearby for swimming and kayaking. Please note that the property itself has no direct lake access.
The whole house and yard are yours for the stay.
Parking is free in the driveway.
Please note there is no direct access to the lake from the property. We ask that guests do not cross neighbouring properties or contact the neighbours to reach the water. There are public lakes, beaches and trails nearby.

Bunk room: one of the bedrooms holds two single bunk beds, which is where the children usually sleep.
Dogs: up to two dogs under 45 pounds, 100 dollars per dog per night.
Group size: the listing is set for twelve guests. For thirteen to sixteen, message before booking; an additional charge applies and the sleeping arrangement is set to your count.
Booking: the primary booker must be at least 26 years old. No events and no smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes. Quiet hours run 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
Checkout is 11:00 AM. A late checkout without approval is charged 100 dollars per hour, and staying past 2:00 PM may be charged as an additional night.
